Who says science isn’t beautiful?

I just saw this today and thought it was worth putting up a link to. Really very impressive and beautiful. Snowflakes are even more beautiful if you can see how they work and grow, it seems.

However, it’s not really very impressive compared to this. Someone made a digital camera with 4 gigapixels. As the article states, that’s enough to take a photo of four football fields and capture every blade of grass. There are some examples of just how incredibly high resolution the photos are linked from that story as well. Well worth taking a look.
