A failure of a Monday
Well, today managed to be something of an abject failure in most respects. But I guess days like this are bound to occur from time to time. It has, however, been some time since I last had a day like this and so I’d come to expect a continuous flow of productive days, I guess. Upon reflection, I know that’s not really a very reasonable thing to expect, however, and so I should come to expect that there will be bad days from time to time.
Tomorrow will hopefully prove to be a better day. There’s Amber in the evening, which should be good. I’ve been waiting to talk to JP about some power-related questions for my character, so hopefully those issues will get cleared up. I’m not sure when we’re going to start doing some character preludes, so to speak. It would be nice to get things going at least a little just to sort of see how the world is going to work. I hope my concept works. It doesn’t have to float, you see, since he’s from Rebma
And I’ll have my usual weekly meeting to discuss mu-nu things. So I will probably have to try to work my ass off in the morning so I have something vaguely intelligent to say at that. I did manage to run over some data after a few failed attempts last week. So it’s good that I can at least in principle run over data. I think for the moment, though, I have to go back to running on Monte Carlo so I can understand the backgrounds. So it’s back to trying to learn python and regular expressions. My python book still hasn’t shipped from amazon, though. It’s not entirely sure when it will, it seems. They seem to think by the 1st, so that’s something I guess. In the meantime I need to get back into doing these online tutorials. My enthusiasm is, alas, not too difficult to curb.
